The freshly prepared five-course menu, and convivial, evening-long dining experience draw guests back to Lloyds again and again. Regulars know to book well ahead, not just to guarantee a table, but out of appreciation for what Roy Hayter in the kitchen and Tom Lines front-of-house work selflessly to provide. Roy’s menu is never exactly repeated. It takes into account what appeals on the morning’s shop – and comes with a truly personal touch, for it’s also influenced by the dislikes, intolerances, etc you are asked about when booking. Your menu remains a surprise until Tom has served pre-dinner drinks, and proffers the 70-strong wine list. Personal attention is in evidence throughout in this unique place (there’s certainly no other GLP like it!), and the spick and span, comfortable bedrooms aren’t the afterthought you find in many restaurants with rooms.
